Day 05 - A thank you letter to someone who has changed your life

Dear Jason Beer,

when you walked into that class room to be our long term sub, I thought to myself 'great, another sub fresh outta school...'

You told us that first day that you were going to do things a little differently. You told us that you knew that as students we have lives and that English shouldn't be the main focus in our life. You told us whenever we wrote a paper, that it should be from the heart, and not some bullshit vomit that is just rewritten to get a good grade. You wanted us to be passionate about everything we did, from our writing in the classroom to our other classes and even to things we did outside of school.

You helped me realize that I love writing and reading. You showed me that teaching could be fun and that the joy you get out of it can be endless.

You were the reason I switched majors and there isn't a day that goes by that I regret it.

Thank you for telling us that we are awesome and that we should never yield to achieve our dreams.

"To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield."

Day 04 - What you imagine paradise to be like

Honestly...Hawaii.

I've never been there, but in every movie I have seen that has shots of Hawaii, it looks perfect. The water is so blue, there are trees everywhere, and I just feel like the local people would be just the nicest people I will ever meet.

I really just want to live on any of the islands till I die.

Day 03 - The five songs you would have with you on a desert island and why

This is going to be a hard one (that's what she said...) because I love music and I love all different types of music. To say I have to narrow down to five songs to listen to for the rest of eternity is just asking too much.

1. The Beatles - Help. I would sing this every morning, think of it as a way of getting the self pity and feeling sorry for myself feelings out of the way. Besides, The Beatles is my favorite band, and this is one of my favorite songs by them (actually all of the songs are my favorite...)

2. Jay Brannan - Bowlegged and Starving. I love this song, from the piano to his voice, Jay Brannan is amazing. It is the perfect song to fall asleep to, as background noise when I'm building as many sand castles as I can, or just to sing and dance along with.

3. Mylie Cryus - Party in the USA. I have chosen this song for one reason and one reason alone. "So hard with my girls not around me, it's definitely not a Nashville party"

4. Erasure - Always. Dead serious. I love this song way to much for my own good. I love the awesome lyrics, the awesome sound, and the awesome way I feel when I hear it.

5. Dolly Parton - The Grass is Blue. I get a haunting feeling whenever I hear Dolly's voice. She is a goddess and I really truly love her music and what she has accomplished in her life. Plus I can fall asleep to this song and it brings a good sad feeling.

Day Two: Something that Inspires You

Something that inspires me is usually going to Chicago. Seriously, I was just there and I am so full of energy that Fort Wayne just doesn't give to me. I love the many different types of people that are there, the vast amount of eating options, the music scene, the shopping scene, the beach, the parks, just everything.

I just love it there.

Day One - Guilty Pleasure

I honestly don't think I have a guilty pleasure. Sometimes I enjoy just love laying on the couch and watching "That 70s Show" or even "Degrassi". I know (titles, what happens in each episode, quotes) everything there is to know about "That 70s Show"and sometimes I apply what happens in that show to my life. I know pretty much everything there is to know in "Degrassi".

I just like to wind down every now and then.

Happily ever after...

Okay, so while I was browsing through one of my favorite image spots I found the coolest images ever.

I LOVE fairytales. I was (and still am) a Disney girl. I always dreamed of being a princess, finding my own prince charming (which luckily I do currently have). Living life in a huge castle, wearing long, beautiful gowns, and just being pretty everyday seem perfect and how life should be.

How wonderful would that be?
But after thinking about the stories and tales we all know and love, what really happens after the "ever after"? I feel like there should be more? Do the happy couple stay in love forever? Are problems nonexistant? I like to think that life may be more realistic if the tales added being left alone. Do they have children, leaving the beautiful, princess wife to tend to the children, cleaning, cooking, and forgetting about the life she lived before finding that charming prince who doesn't help out at all or reminding her of how lovely she truly is.

Do they remain healthy? Or keep those trademarks that were reasons why stories began?

Life doesn't care if you're hair is made of golden curls or if your skin is as pale as snow.

Disney doesn't continue on with the consequences of the 'happily ever after'.
Its just interesting to view these photos that are done by Dina Goldstein (just a few photos from her "Fallen Princesses" series) and ponder what happens after the credits roll.

I love being deep and sharing beautiful photographs with you readers.

has it been two years already?!

Yes, indeed it has been.

Two whole years I have been dating the lovely and charming Scott Joseph Esmond.

He is a real catch, trust me.

He is my best friend, my other half, and my rock. He keeps me grounded. I love him so much.

Everyday is special, and though it hasn't always been easy, one must understand nothing worth having comes easy.

It takes work, communication, understanding, and being able to forgive. I am still working on each one of these traits.

So as these past 24 months have been the best in my life, I look forward to the many more days that we have together.

do you know what death feels like?

Okay, so the title has nothing to do with anything, minus the fact that it was one of our (tressie/steph/and myself) catch phrases this past weekend.

Purdue was alot of fun. Took pictures, saw amelia and neil which is always a treat. I met some new people and saw alot of oldies I already knew.

All in all it was a good weekend.

I'm just mostly looking forward to Wednesday.

cold everything...

literally its probably -100 degrees in my room.

I AM FREEZING!

I drew this little doodle comic thing. Chris Humbert and I were having this conversation via facebook chat, and and I used it kind of as inspiration.
enjoy.

I'm super creative right? I know. :D

Well there are alot of events coming up

Friday, Tressie and I are planning on adventuring to W.L. (purdue town) to visit our dearest friend Steph.

Saturday if Minstrel Magic (my highschool show choir that has stolen my boyfriend for the next couple months) makes Dekalb Finals (which I'm sure they will) I'm planning on attending.

Sunday (if I have any $$$ left) Scott and I are planning on seeing Valentine's Day, which ironically enough is on Valentine's Day. Now...don't just assume that we celebrate it, because we don't (his rule). But I have come to accept that Valentine's Day is kind of lame and I'm glad we don't get fru fru crap for each other.

Wednesday (next) marks the two year anniversary for us (*ding* la la la). How sweet. I already gave him part of his gift today (Zombieland).

I just really wanted to watch it plus I have no control.

survey says...

Okay so I haven't done one of these bad boys in ages...well since I deleted my myspace. And to tell you the truth, (*sob*) I kind of miss them.

SO HERE WE GO (WHOOPIE)

Do any other girls like the last person you kissed? I like to think not, but Scott is very charming most of the time. I'm sure girlies like him because he is funny. Thats why I like him, that and he gives the best hugs, he is an awesome cuddler, and he makes me smile.

How many people have you had strong feelings for in the year of 2010? Lets see, strong feelings?... :] oh of course, my lovely boyfrand mentioned above (scott esmond).

Would you change yourself for the person you like/love? No, that is stupid. When I was younger (like early high school years) I tried that, it sucks. When I started being myself thats when I found my bestest friend in the world (who is now my boyfriend...see above for more)

Let me guess, your last incoming call was from the opposite sex? Actually no, I don't get many phone calls from people anymore, its mostly texts. But the last person who called me was Courtney and she is not a boy.

What are you supposed to be doing right now? Reading, but whatever, I'll do that later.

What if your boyfriend/ girlfriend went through your cellphone? Then he would just read all the texts he sends me. I really don't have anything on there, but texts people send me and pictures I take. So he would reread texts and look through a bunch of pictures of me, because thats what I do when I'm bored...

Did your last kiss take place on a bed? No, it happened as I was walking outside.

Are you angry with someone right now? No, I'm not angry. :]

Is the last person you kissed in a relationship? Yup. With me.

Is the last person you kissed older than you? No, I'm older.

Are you completely 100% over your previous relationship? Yes, that was a LONG time ago.

Will you have sex tonight? No.

Who did you spend most of your time with last night? Last night? my family and scott.

Do you hate the last guy you had a conversation with? lolz. no way, I don't hate scott.

Have you ever hugged a complete stranger? A couple times.

Your ex calls you and asks you back out, you say? I would say no because ONE: I'm in a relationship and TWO: He is gay and has a boyfriend

If your best friend needed you to bail him/her outta jail would you? In all reality, I probably would be in jail with em'. But sure, if I wasn't in there I would bail him out.

Next time you will kiss someone on the lips? It will happen whenever I see scott next.

Do you smoke weed everyday? Not everyday....lolz. I don't smoke weed at all (that was a joke mother)

The person you have/had the strongest feelings for dies, do you care? I don't like to think about that. I've had nightmares where that happens and find myself waking up with a tear soaked pillow.

Are you nice to everyone? Honestly...no, but I try my darn hardest.

Are you someone's best friend? Yes I am

Camping with a ton of friends or hotel with a few friends? I would rather a camp ground...but hotels have pools.

What's something that bothers you about girls? Sometime they talk really really really fast, and its hard for me to understand what they are saying.

Do you have anything you'd like to say, but cant? No, I pretty much say everything all the time.

Is it cute when guys/girls kiss you on your forehead? yes. its super cute.

What hurts right now? right now...my leg.

Does it bother you when people try to make you jealous? Only sometimes.

Is it possible to be single and happy? Yes.

Do you like when people play with your hair? No, I really hate it.

Do you find piercings attractive? It depends on like where...on the face...not so much. actually I really don't like piercings on guys. I think they look cute on girls.

Do you own a pair of skinny jeans? Yes, like four.

First thing you do when you wake up? Check my phone

Will this weekend be a good one? Hopefully. Keeping my fingers crossed.

What were you doing at 7:00 AM? Sleeping

Have you ever liked someone you didn't expect to? Yes.

What were you doing last night at midnight? midnight? Watching "Whip It" for like the fourth time that day.

Do you think you can last in a relationship for six months? Yes. In sixteen days marks 24 months I've been with scott.

If you could change your eye color, would you? Sometimes I wish they were green like Harry Potters. But I like the brown hazel I have.

Do you like you're hair long or short? Looooong.

Do you fall for people easily? I use to be, but I'm done falling.

Are you good at hiding your feelings? Yes, its actually scary how good I'm at it.

Has anyone ever told you that they want to spend the rest of their life with you? Yes, a couple times

Last person you laid in bed with? Like to sleep? I can't remember, but scott and I were laying in his bed yesterday while we watched "Gilmore Girls"

Are you afraid of falling in love? No, I'm not.

Did you ever kiss someone with a tattoo? No.

Do you like to cuddle? I'm a girl....so yes.

What were your first thoughts this morning? Ugh. I want to go back to sleep. Will I get my car battery today?

Did anybody witness the last time you danced? No, I dance like crazy in my room alot, just so no one will see me.

Whip It!

I am crazy about this movie right now (don't worry give me a week and I'll get over it). Its amazing. Drew Barrymore's debut film is nothing but awesome. You fall in love with every single character and it just makes you want to kick some ass.

I love it.
alright, but enough about that. Lets talk about...something else.
My car needs a new battery so this past weekend I had to either bum a ride from friends (which brought back lovely memories from my early high school days) or not do anything at all. This normally wouldn't bother me, but my lovely bf (aka scott) is in show choir and their season starts next Saturday...meaning...I won't be able to really hang out with him on the weekends till the end of March. duhz gag me with like uh spoon.

The car situation also blows because I have tickets to see Bill Engval in Indy this coming Saturday...but until I get a battery I can't go.

The good news is that I may be getting one tomorrow....so fingers are crossed. :]

This is the most recent picture of me, taken this past Saturday. I have so many pairs of those dumb 3D glasses you get at movie theaters. I don't know what to do with them. So sometimes I'll punch out the lenses and wear them around my house...but I'm not hipster enough to wear them around the mall like some indie kids. It really bothers me when I see those kids. I'm not sure why, but I just want to go up to them, take them off their stupid faces and snap them in half while saying "get a real pair of glasses fool". Or at least get a real pair of fake glasses that have lenses like the rest of the world. Kids at Glenbrook mall are weird.

hello?

I'm a horrible blogger. I get really into it, then for some crazy reason I just stop. Its awful. My last post was almost four months ago, its a new year, there is just so much to talk about!!!!

alright lets see.

-I turned 20! Yikes!
-I was in a community theatre Christmas Review where I sang a duet
-I got a ukulele and have been playing it every single day
-I stopped working at the zoo in October because the season was ending and I'm currently unemployed
-I am still dating that kid Scott, and in 24 days we will have been offically together for two whole years

I wish I blogged every day, and I hate resolutions, but I'm going to try to blog everyday (or at least three times a week) because I have so much to say and I feel like its important to read (at least in my opinion)
